As I planned our wedding, I didn’t even bother to find a cake topper with a black woman and a white man. A fondant flower did just fine.

I found these paper cake toppers on and asked the owner of the ReadyGo shop why she had so many choices. Here’s what she said:

I created the bride and groom toppers as a companion for the cake banners I was already selling. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to make sure that I provided customizations for anyone from any background or sexual orientation. Every couple is different and should be celebrated for their differences! To make them affordable for even the tightest budgets, I created a template bride and groom figure that can be customized with many different skin colors, hair styles, clothing options, etc. They are also affordable because I work with an inexpensive media – paper!

I purchased my cake toppers from an etsy store (Naked Peggies) and I couldn’t have been happier with mine. Options for BF/WM couples are really, REALLY limited so you have to be creative.
