And the project goes on. I have given my book yet another new book title — The Color of Their Skin. The old title was too personal; the new title is provocative. I’m sure there will be more titles in the book’s future. Please don’t hold it against me.

I have edited the proposal, and I am (still) editing the early chapters. I continue to build my platform, and I will have an essay in a national magazine in April. I’ve analyzed and rewritten my query letter. It’s short and to the point, a tease of what I have to offer.

I’ve entered the quiet phase of the project. With the help of Erin Hosier, an agent at Dunow, Carlson & Lerner, I’ve gathered the names of several agents who may be interested in my work. I will soon launch my search for an agent. With any luck, I’ll be back with good news in the very near future.
