Nadia loves knowing where she can find her father.

“Where’s Daddy?”

“He is at work.”

A few minutes pass.

“Where’s Daddy?”

“He is still at work.”

I guess she finds it comforting to know his whereabouts.

Ken went out of town for a few days, and I was bombarded with questions about where he went and when he would return. I travel more than he does and thought when he returned the girls would smother him with attention, curl up under him, and give me a bit of space. Nope. He arrived home to big hugs, kisses and the same three little words he hears every day.

“I want Mommy.”

Sounds familiar. At our house, the questions about where Daddy is when he’ll be home come all through the day, but when he returns from work, he has to ask for a hello.
