archery at day camp

This thing called parenting is all about letting go.

School has ended. Summer is underway, and day camp is on.

Simone and Nadia didn’t miss a beat. Not one. In fact, they were taken to the first day of day camp, quickly scurried in two directions, and left Ken by his lonesome to complete some paperwork. They trust and know one of us will pick them up in the afternoon.

We worry: Can they do this? Can they do that? What will they do without us?

They have fun: There’s my friend! We’re going to the pool! We’re going skating!

If we’re not careful, we’ll hold them back. As my girlfriend says: Relax, relate, release.
