The Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival is open for registration. The free festival features two days of workshops, film screenings, readings, live performance, comedy and spoken word. Oh, there’s also plenty of fun for the kiddies at the Target Family Day. The event is scheduled for June 11-12 at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

This is a one-of-a-kind event. I sure can’t think of anything that comes close. I was honored to read at the festival last year and will moderate a panel about race and the media this year.

The Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival is a sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization. Donations may be made on behalf of the Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival through the New York Foundation for the Arts or online at IndieGoGo.

Exciting to see you’ll be on a panel. Will try and see if I can attend.
